J.L. Mitchell (President)
Mr. Mitchell is responsible for the company’s business development, asset management, financial analyses and strategic planning. Mr. Mitchell established the company in 1987 on three basic principles of “doing what you say”, “when you said you would“ and “for the price that you said you would.” These principles have developed Mitchell Contract Interiors into one of the Upstate’s leading contractors specializing in commercial renovations and tenant improvements.
Prior to Mitchell Contract Interiors, he enjoyed a successful twenty-six year career with Fluor Corporation holding many positions for their Power Group such as financial manager, payroll department manager and spent the last ten years as Director of Facilities. In this position he was responsible for lease negotiations and facilities management for over a million square feet of East Coast office space.
Mr. Mitchell attended the University of South Carolina earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He also attended the University of Missouri Business School and General Electric Management Practices.
Mr. Mitchell is also licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of South Carolina.
